Had Pinched Nerve On Neck. Getting Sensitive Scalp With Severe Pain In Ear. Should I Get A CT Scan?

I ve had a pinched nerve on the right side of my neck for 2 wks now. Seen a chiropractor 3x and started getting a sensitive scalp on my right side, along with sudden bursts of pain in my right ear. My mom died of a brain aneurysm at 41. I m 35~~ Scared. Do I get a CT scan to rule anything serious out??

First of all, I would like to reassure you that there is no need to worry about your symptoms, as they do not suggest any serious brain disease.

The most likely causes of sensitive scalp and bursts of pain could be related to the pinched nerve.

So, you can take medications such as pregabalin or ibuprofen to relieve the pain.

However, if the symptoms persist or if you are still anxious, then, you may get a CT scan of the brain done.
