Had Mono In The Past, Lymph Nodes In Neck Still Swollen And Bumps On Throat. Treatment?

Hi, I have had mono in the past at around 9-11 yrs old and it's been about 6 years at the most. My lymph nodes on the left side of my neck are still swollen and my throat never healed correctly because I still have a few red bumps on my throat and tonsils. I would like to know why I still have these symptoms and if they'll ever go away.

Hi!
Welcome to HCM!
Mononucleosis, is a common illness caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). It is most often seen in teens and young adults. It can leave you feeling tired and weak for weeks or months.
As soon as you get over mono, your symptoms go away, but you always carry the virus that caused it. The virus may become active from time to time without causing any symptoms.I think you are having the same problem.Your body will gradually fight the infection and symptoms will go away.support your body by good nutrition and enough fluids.
hope this will help you!
