Had Hypothyroidism. Starting T4 Pills. Trying To Get Pregnant. Normal. What Should I Do?

Hello,
I was told 1 month ago I had hypothyroidism and was sent T4 pills. Since day 1 starting the pills I bled for 2 weeks. Had 1 week rest and again bleeding until today (18 days now). I went to the doctor again a couple of days ago, but she says to wait until the thyroid pills quick on. I am trying to get pregnant and this is just frustrating. Is this normal? What should I do?

P.S - I have been trying to get pregnant now for a whole year. I had 1 miscarriage at 4 weeks

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Kindly continue T4 pills to achieve euthyroidism as it is very important. Hypothyroidism during pregnancy may lead to miscarriage & also affect baby's mental development. Your menses will be regular once hypothyroidism is controlled & you need not worry for that.
Wish you good health.
Regards.
