HSG Test Showing Fallopian Tubes Only Partially Opacified. Right Tube Was Tied Due To Ecotopic Pregnancy. What Do You Suggest?

I had an hsg test done. The test said both tubes do not appear patent with both Fallopian tubes only partially opacified. The uterus demonstrates no definite intraluminal filing defect. I know my right tube was tied and clipped in 2005 due to an ectopic pregnancy. So what could be wrong with my left tube. The tubal recanalization report says although free spillage from both sides can't be established. There was evidence of contained contrast spillage either due to scarring adhesions at the tubes or due to focal perforation of the distal tube. So can my left tube be repaired and can my right one be reopened?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The fallopian tube may be blocked due to different possible causes such as previous infection or surgery that could have resulted in the formation of scar tissue.

Some infections may not present with any symptoms but cause scarring that result in blockage. If there is no previous surgery this is the likely cause.

There are procedures available that may be able to re open the tubes. You should consider asking your gynaecologist about this possibility.

I hope this helps

Hi, welcome to Health care magic forum.
Hystirosalpingogram says both the tubes are not patent, of course there may be a mis reading, there are other ways of studying like M.R.I. or endoscopy.
If everything says the same thing, for recanalization, of the tubes is not a big thing, and the plastic surgeons can do it easily.
To be on safe side it is better to have it on both sides.
Wishing for a success. Thank you.
