Got On Pill To Regulate Periods, Periods Exceedingly Heavy, Got Off Pills. Now Symptoms But No Bleeding. Sterile ?

I started my period when I was 12 (I am now 15) and it's been irregular since day one. I got on the pill to try and regulate my periods and it worked, but I gained a lot of weight. Twenty pounds to be exact. I was originally 118 and got up to the 140 range. I talked to my mom about it and we both decided it would be best that I got off of it. Now during the time period of being on the pill, my periods were exceedingly heavy and lasted longer, way worse than what I considered normal which was just a little bleeding for about 3 or 4 days then it was done. When I got off of the pill my periods were smaller than they were to begin with and they continued to get smaller and smaller until they just stopped coming. It has been 7 months since my last period, almost 8, and I am beginning to become concerned. Every month I have extremely high amounts of discharge (to the point I have to change my undergarments maybe once or twice a day) but never any bleeding. I get all the symptoms of a period, I just never bleed. Does anyone know what could be wrong with me? Does this mean I've gone sterile or something? Please help!

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The absence of bleeding during the time of your periods is a worrisome finding. It can happen due to a hormonal imbalance or polycystic ovaries. It is not due to sterility.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
