Getting Heavy Periods And Breast Pain After Taking Yasmin Pills For Acne Problem
Hi Dr,
i have been having this problem with my periods. after using the Yasmin pill which was prescribed to me by dermatologist in order to help my acne and recently she prescribed me another drug called roacatane.
i am getting very heavy periods and with that being said, i am also getting burning/shooting pain in my breast which is very unpleasant.
also, my mood has been changing very frequently. one minute i want to cry and the next i'm angry and then i'm happy again and this is really bothering me in general.
please help me!!
have i got some sort of disease or tumour??

The drug yasmin has estrogen and progesterone which can cause bloating in breast, and mood changes. I am surprised that you have heavy flow. Usually the drug causes painless light period.
You can change to non hormonal medicine for acne like topical benzyl peroxide, clindamycin ointment antiviral doxycycline.
