Frontal Lobe Seizures. Taking Potassium Supplements And Keppra. Information On Medications?
I would and its extremely important to me but I don't have any extra money for the answers. Briefly I had continual frontal lobe seizures last Monday until Friday. They also put me in CCU cuz my heart rate went down. Now I'm home and taking potassium and Keppra (twice a day - which I don't like the feeling). I just wanted info on potassium and the heart (my father died at 50 and I'm scare). I seen the price for the answer and can't do it. My e-mail is YYYY@YYYY if your interested or my telephone is 715-205-7774. Sincerely, Nancy Woodard
You have developed frontal lobe seizures and were kept in CCU and then discharged with advise to take potassium and levetiracetam. Levetiracetam is an anti epileptic drug which is useful in localized seizures. You must have developed low potassium for which you have been given potassium. Potassium is must for contraction of muscles of heart and is useful for cardiac function. But commonly it is usually prescribed for low potassium arising due to a number of causes. There is no risk that you have serious illness or you will develop any serious illness just because your father had heart problems. Continue to take medicines as per your doctors prescription.
Thanks
