Frontal Headaches, Heaviness. Clipped Vessels At The Back Of The Eye.

my brother has worsening frontal headaches over the last few weeks and is taking alot of pain relief. He experiences
a gritty heavy feeling at the back of the eye. He went to the optician who told him that he had clipped vessels at the back of his eye and to visit his Dr. B.P is normal and so is cholesterol. He says the pain runs down his cheek alittle towards his ear. The cold affects his eye alot. When he comes home he has to lay down.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query
Your brother needs a detailed neurological evaluation which includes neurological examination, and investigations like MRI scan of the brain. This will clarify the diagnosis so that treatment becomes easy. In the medications that can help are gabapentine, pregabaline etc.
Best wishes
