Frequent Canker Sores, Stopped Orange Juice, Still Have Sores, Bleeding Gums, Terrible Sore Throat That Pains On Swallowing. Help?
Hi, I have been getting canker sores quite often but i use to be told its from orange juice and too much acid well now i dont drink much and i havent been i have two canker sores and feels like one on my tongue but think it might just be a swollen taste but also have a terrible sore throat not so much hurt kinda tickles unless i swallow my spit and only hurts on one side i have had my tonsils and adnoids out currently takin amoxicilllan and garling salt water as much as possible also just brushed my teeth and my top upper gums were sore and started bleeding . PLEASE HELP!! Hilary

the problem is due to aphthous ulcer.this commonly occurs due to vitamin deficiency.
please do visit your dentist and take treatment according to that.please do not take antibiotics without medical supervision.
take tab.flanzen-100mg,thrice daily for 3 days and tab.wysalone-5mg twice daily for 3 days.these tablets after consulting with your dentist.
also get your teeth professionaly cleaned as your gums are bleeding due to gingivitis.
check also whether any of your impacted wisdom tooth is inflammed ie,pericoronitis.if present,get operculectomy done or extraction.pericoronitis can cause sore throat.continue gargling salt water.maintain good oral hygiene.

Canker sores are having multiuple reasons behind it, most often cited are, Vitamin B12 Defeciency, STRESS, Streptococcal bacterial infections, Autoimmune/ allergic reactions, and Iron defecienceis. As per of current knwoledge, it has almost non significnat association with orange juices. Orange Juices may at maximum lead to dental Erosion causing senstivity. Instead from your case history of Enlarged adenoids and Tonsils along with canker sores, it more of look like a STREPTOCOCCAL infection.
It can be well treated by,
a) gargle with warm water mixed with one capsule of RESTICIlLLIN-250mg (Tetracycline),
b) Take Vit. B Complex Caps at night with Milk (For Iron/ Vit B defeciency correction)
c) Apply Dologel CT on affected sores
d) Maintain Good Oral Hygeine (Brush twice and use mouthwashes)
and Lastly as you are already taking Amox, things should go better within 2/ 3 days.

content but this is not the only reason it may be caused
due to stress ,hot and spicy food,malnutrition,stomach upset
i would advice you to apply orobase or hexagel over sores
for relief and consult a physician.maintain oral hygiene using
mouthwash.if still not relieved then you may apply
steroidal based gel over but not more than week.
