What Causes Frequent Canker Sores With Swollen Tongue And Rough Gums?

My mouth has generally been sore for several days. More specifically, the underside of my tongue is swollen and sensitive, my gums seem rough and are sensitive and not smooth, I had several swollen taste buds on the top of my tongue that did go away after a couple of days, and I have two sores in my mouth, one on the underside of my tongue and one on the piece that connects the bottom lip to the gums. I am 22 years old, female, I brush and floss regularly and do not frequently get canker sores. No recent food choices have struck me as being a contributing factor.

hellooo...read thru ur query...accordingly i must say that it can be due to trauma or stress...sores under the tongue near connection can be due to slippage of toothbrush causing trauma to the area...but nothing to worry..roughness of the gum can be corrected by meeting a periodontist and get it cleaned it can reduce the problem...other sores can be due to stress and tension at work or home or personal issues...u can apply lignogel over the area before having food ..and take multivitamin tablet(it wont harm you)..do chlorhexidine mouthrinse daily...do salt water gargle...follow all these and after a week if still persists meet a dentist and get it treated based on clinical presentation....be cool and stressfree...STRESSFREE AND HAPPY MIND can be best treatement for all diseases...hope ur benefitted something from this reply..have a healthy day!!!
