my baby boys weight at birth was 3.4 kg, He is now 4.5 months old and weighs 9 kg. He is formular fed, Has approx 5 bottles in 24 hours. 200ml most feeds sometimes 250ml. This is my first week in introducting farax. Im just concerned that his weight is increasing to quickly. In your opinion, should i be trying to give him less bottles, and trying with to advance to purae veg, just dont know what the best alternative is.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Normally the weight of a baby triples by the age of one year and doubles by the age of 5 to 6 months.

Formula fed babies grow more rapidly than breast fed babies.

Your baby seems to be above the higher end of normal growth.

Request you to contact your doctor for a physical examination.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
