Doctor suggested that for Thyroid THYROX 100 and ROZAVAL-F for cholesterol....i have taken rozaval-f for three months and later on i have checked my lipid profile which is like this.... total cholesterol 124 HDL 31 Tc/HDL ratio 4.0 Triglyceride 156 LDL 131.8 VLDL 31.2.... then doctor suggest me the rozaval -F for one more month ... please kindly suggest me whether should i continue the same treatment if yes then how long? looking for ur reply....
hi devidas kushnure, the cholesterol medications have to taken for a long period of time even if your levels appear normal, because it is the thyriod that has caused the problem, regular checkups of the lipid profile need to be done inorder to see if your levels are appearing normal. then the dose can be reduced as a preventive therapy. hope to answered your query thanking you. dr. zainab.
