Fluid Type Lump On Knee, Moving. Having Glaucoma And Neurological Symptoms. Any Ideas?

I have a soft fluid type lump on my knee cap. It is painless, goes up and down and I have had it for about a year. I can push it around and as I say, some days its bigger than others. If it is down, I can feel hard lumps underneath on my knee cap which are not on the other leg. Its only on my left leg. I have had a look at the symptoms of bursitis, but I am sure its not that as my father had that and it was completely different. Its not red, hot or swollen, but just this fluid type squashy mound! I am a 51 year old lady, fairly fit apart from Glaucoma, and I am having investigations at present for neurological symptoms which I have had on and off for some years.

Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

I have read your question.

It looks from your details that you may be having synovitis at your knee. This is inflammation of inner lining of knee.At present you should do following to have relief in this-

-Consult to a orthopedic doctor.

-Your doctor may aspirate the fluid from knee.

-Take a good anti inflammatory analgesic.I used to give advil or aleeve for this.

-Avoid strenuous activities.

Hope this all will help you.

With best wishes.
