Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
The age of child is just three years.
Acute
tonsil infection is very common in this age group and most probable causative organisms ( bacteria) are
streptococcus or staphlococcus .
However other bacteria may be there.
But I would like to say I will prescribe conservative treatment ( treatment by medicines) and this is very much effective.
More or less if, any doubt take a swab from throat and culture ( also of blood ) will reveals the exact nature of bacteria.
Drug sensitivity will reveal the proper antibiotics ( suits).
If
cough is dry , you may change antihistamine and anti pyretic is already there.
Don't be in panic due to white patches over tonsils as these are normal in infection of tonsils.
Consult one physician and get in his opinion and you will feel relax.
Hope I have answered your question.
If further any question I will help gladly.
Good luck for little one.
Dr. HET.
