Fell Sick After Taking Nortrel, Took Antibiotics. Spotting After Unprotected Sex. Period Or Pregnancy Symptom?

Am taking nortrel 1/35 (28 days) I bearly started on this a month ago. About the second week of taking the pills I got sick and took antibiotics for about a week I had unprotected sex during that time. 7 days before my period I spotted brown and very light a liner was enough for me to use during the 3 or 4 day I had that then again I spotted the same day I was suppose to get my period but only that day. Could that be my period or could I be pregnant? Plz help!

Hello ma'am and welcome.

In all likeliness it should be your period, as birth control can result in menstrual abnormalities, but there have of course been cases of failure of contraception and this could have also resulted in pregnancy. But this will of course have to be ruled out.

The best thing to do now would be to get your urine examined which can rule out/diagnose both pregnancy and infections.
