Fell From Bike And Have Spot On Thigh. Appears Purple. How Long Will This Be?

I fell off my bike 3 weeks ago and have a spot about 3 inches wide sticks out on my right thigh and is warmer than surrounding area. The large purple area has gone. My ankle on same leg is swollen. The blood purple had gone to my toes. The ER said I was ok. How long till this goes away and how do I know if it should be drained?

Hello
welcome to health care magic
Regarding your complaint,,i think it was hematoma,,
After the bike accident due to localised blood clot,,you may feel the presence of purple colored discoloration due to hematoma..
in due course of time your hematoma may resolve leaving no residue there..
To reduce the pain from that use pain killers.
Hope you understand my suggestion
Thank you
