Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. The amount of bleeding subsequent to an abortion depends on the period of gestation as this determines the uterine size and hence the endometrium. Bleeding usually is seen for a few days and resembles a menstrual period. If the bleeding recurs, retained products or an infection must be suspected. Nausea can be due either to the medication or the persistence of pregnancy symptoms for a while due to the gradual decline of the pregnancy hormone. A sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route, done after ten days will help to exclude any retained products. Hope this helps.
