Fasting And PPBS Fluctuating. Doctor Advised For Glimy. Safe To Use?

M 50 years old..i went for a test for diabetes..it was126 on fasting and 276 after meal..havnt took any medicine..den again after 1 week in other pathology i assured d test it was108on fasting and 141after meal..doctor hav suggested me to take glimi save m1 once a day..wat should i do??is it a correct medicine in my situation..pls reply..

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
I would come up with these measures before any medication for diabetes, these includes.
First time your blood sugar level was 126 & 276 , on empty and after meal.
second time it was 108 & 141 .
The after meal blood sugar level on 2nd time was not elevated , rather it was a border line case.
So in my opinion you should wait at least for two times blood sugar examination . If we eat high carbohydrate diet , naturally sugar level will elevate.
So in my opinion take carbohydrate free diet and then get in blood for sugar level . Also it might help to get in HB A 1 C blood examination.
