Family Members Died Of Windowmaker Heart Attack, No Previous Problems. Any Test To Know Symptoms Earlier?

My father died at age 69 and my brother died 1 month ago, aged 61 both from widowmaker heart attacks. Neither ever had previous heart problems and their first heart attack killed them. I am a woman, 62 yrs old and want to know if there are any tests to determine if I am susceptible to this type of heart attack and also is this a genetic condition?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your stand you are just thinking in right way, hereditary is key factor in such cases, in very rare cases it does not shows such correlation,, we should not take nay chance and better to go for complete cardiac evaluation, time to time and this includes EKG, treadmill test Echo test, from these we can come to know the heart status, and in this way it became necessary for you to get these test done, have nice day.
