Extreme Pain And Bruise At Needle Point, Donated Blood. Solution To Ease The Pain?

Hi, I tried to donate blood today, the nurse found a vein and inserted the needle, once it was in it was extremely painful and she immediately said that bruising was occurring at site so she stopped the procedure. It s now been 6 hours or so and I am in extreme pain at the point of entry. Is there anything I should do to help ease the pain?

Your vein is injured twice so that the flow will be blocked.
The pain will be relieved by anti inflammatory drug.
