Does Severe Cough Due To Bronchitis Lead To Bright Red Vaginal Bleeding After Periods?

I have been suffering from bronchitis and severe coghing for two weeks now. This morning I noticed vaginal bleeding even though I had my periods two weeks ago. Is the excessive coughing causing the vaginal bleeding. The blood is bright red unlike my normal periods

Hi,
It may not be the cough but the infection that may have caused the spotting. Excessive cough can cause some spotting if you are near your period. Alternatively, you could have ovulated and this could be the cause of the spotting. Ovulation bleed is usually fresh. Please watch for further bleeding and if it persists, take proper advice from a gynecologist in person. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
