Does Rectal Bleeding Occur Due To Constipation?

On jun 13, 2011 I had a colon resectioning (cut the infected area) I had a laparoscopic surgery. My incision healed fast but currently experiencing rectal bleeding. Still sufferring from constipation. Could the rectal bleeding is due to constipation or this is expected maybe because my colon is not totally healed from the resection surgery?
