Endocrinologist 's  Response
The usual weight gain associated with primary hypothyroidism is on an average 3 kg. It won't explain the 10 kg weight gain which happened.. moreover after treatment the whole if 3 kg which you gained due to primary hypothyroidism is expected to regress. So take your medications regularly and start a weight reduction programme of lesser calorie diet of 1000 kcal and daily exercise for 39 minutes should be started
