Does Ovary Removal Cause Heart Problems?

Hi, I am scheduled for a TH very soon, using DaVinci. I am concerned on two levels. First, the abstracts of the studies I have read, can t seem to agree on whether the removal of ovaries leave one vulnerable to heart and /or stroke issues. My family history does not include cancer, but it DOES include heart and stroke issues from both my Mother and Father. My second concern is that I am obese and have read where DaVinvi is better or obese women, the again I have read it s better for obese women to stay clear. Like so many things, there appears to be a difference of opinion. Any clarification? Thank you. Confused

Hi,

You haven't mentioned your age. It depends on the surgeon's experience regarding the mode of surgery. Removal of ovary depends on the age and conditions of the ovary.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
