My dad has a pig valve in his heart b/c he had aortic valve stenosis. He had surgery 6 years ago and has done wonderful. The last two days he has felt nauseous and yesterday while doing yard work, he said he saw spots. Is this reason for concern?

Hello ,
Just Get a routine evaluation done if the status is not known for more than 6 months . An 2 d echocardiography and ekg is suggested .
Generally bioprosthetic valve do very well for 10 - 12 years before any degeneration sets it .
The gradient across the valve and any rhythm disturbance should be ruled out.
