Does Child Need Vaccination After Playing With Dog S Water Container?

Hello Samuel, I have some worry about the chance my son gets rabies. Today my son today played with the water container from which dogs drink outside one icecream shop. He has some hangnails in his hand. Does he need to get vaccination immediately? Thank you!

It depends on the vaccination history of the dog too. If it is a pet dog and has been vaccinated then you just need to monitor. Sometime you can always ask for a Pre Exposure Rabies Vaccine (injections given in 3 doses Day 1, Day 7 and Day 21 or 28). If there is a high chance of your son playing with the dog with unclear vaccination history, you can get him vaccinated.
