I did the iui in the 18th of dec and took duphaston from that day till now. My period was due yesterday and I started to getting some spotting yesterday and it's still continuing. The doctor had told me to test for pregnancy today but I am confused. I did an at home pregnancy test and came out negative. Am I bleeding because of a period or am I pregnant ? And should I continue taking duphaston or shall I stop? If I continue until when ? Thank you
well if you have started spotting already and the pregnancy test is negative, it can be interpreted in two ways presently that if this is an implantation bleed then you can ideally wait for 7 more days for preg test to be positive and till then continue duphaston. if the spotting doesnt stop in next two days and your menses start as regular menses, then you can consider it a failed IUI cycle and should start your fresh iui cycle under supervision with ovulatory drug like clomifene citrate 50mg daily for five days from day 3 of your menses date. regards
