Does Ramipril Helps To Loose Weight?

I havd a reading of 155/95 was prescribed Bisoprolol which gave weight gain after two wks,now prescribed Ramipril instead will that prohibit weight loss as am at ww..I always take Frusemide 2.5 mg daily dont want to take Beta blocker think my blood pressure was high due to stress at time

Welcome to HCM & thanks for asking your question...I want to tell you that ramipril neither increase nor decrease your weight , it just controls your BP...
Another thing I want to advise you that never change the drug immediately or without consulting physician...
As you are taking frusemide, it will help you to loose weight, because it will lead to diuresis...take ftusemide tablet always in day time...
You can also take losartan, because ramipril sometimes lead to irritative cough...
So my advise is continue ramipril and frusemide, if no further problem arises and check your BP at least every monthly to check the effects of medicines...
