Does PCOD Cause Difficulty In Conceiving A Baby?

I am 30 years old and I was having problems with irregular periowwds and heavy period cramps...Last month i consulted a gynaec because of the extended period days. I was asked to do Ultra sound scanning and some routine experiments. Her prescription was to take a tablet, Femilon (Desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol) for a period of one year. Now my periods are regular and no problem of cramps.

Now the concern is that am planning to get married by next year. Today I just went through my scanning results and am so upset that am suffering from PCOD. Will my present health condition affect conceiving a baby? Can I stop medication before one year (before getting married).
