Does Misoprostol Taken With Noresthesterone Induce Successful Abortion?
Someone took a single dose of Misoprostol (Oral Dosage) and realised it was a mistake and then took 10 (5MG) Noresthesterone tablets. And then later the next day she had heavy menstrual bleeding, and now it has stopped. Is she still pregnant.? Also since she has hypoglycemia she keeps on passing out for 5 mins, and at times goes into brady cardia.
Hello dear Understand your concern. For successful abortion mifepristone should be followed by misoprostol under the expert guidance of gynecologist. Norethisterone does not cause abortion. It generally used for the induce bleeding and emergency contraception. It does not cause abortion in established pregnancy. You should consult the gynecologist and should perform the USG to know the status of pregnancy. If it is there it will be treated by additional dose of misoprostol or by surgical process, as norethesterone cause damage to fetus (Pregnancy). Immediately consult the gynecologist and give dextrose saline and blood if needed. Never take abortion pills at home by self. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
