Does Istamet Medicine Has Any Side Effects In Case My Dad Reduces His Appetite .
Hello Doc. My Father aged 70 is diabetic , he had heart surgey in 2008 , his weight is 75 kg, his fasting sugar level today was 171 and post lunch 416. Doctor has prescribed him Istamet tab for one month. He is very irregular with his eating habits and eat sweet too. Kindly suggest me if this Istamet medicine has any side effects in case he reduces his appetite . Thank you Regards

Dear sir i understand your concern.the med what you mentioned is a very good one at elderly age. this med istamet contain one medicine called sitagliptin this med is having little effect on your appetite.its not a bad sign in diabetes .this also a way control diabetes by regularizing diet pattern in diabetes....regards
