Doctor Advised FNAC And Histochemical Test Which Shows Absence Of Malignant Cells And Presence Of Acid Fast Bacilli. Tuberculosis Was Diagnosed.
I had a small lump on the left side of the neck since 15-20 days. Doctor advised FNAC and Histochemical Test which indicated the absence of any malignant cells and presence of Acid Fast Bacilli. Tuberculosis was diagnosed and the concerned doctor advised the chest X-Ray to be done. Today the result is out and the X-Ray reads as follows - Small subtle opacity is seen in right lung mid zone Bilateral CP angle are clear Cardio-thoracic ratio is maintained Bony cage is normal Trachea and mediastinium is central
Presence of acid fast bacilli in lymph node is definitely suggestive of TB. Xray findings of TB usually include opacities in the lung parenchyma, some may show cavitation. Your X ray is suggestive of opacity in the middle zone of right lung suggesting primary TB. All other findings of the X ray are normal. I suggest you get in touch with a physician for a prescription of AntiTB drugs.
Thanks.
