Do The Tablets Need The Half An Hour Gap?

hello Sir, good after noon i am suffering with diabetes, doctor prescribed me with two tablets .one tab half an before meal another after meal .is it compulsory to maintain half an hour gap between two tablets .what happen if time gap increase or decreases

Hello,
you should have mentioned the tablet names in order to get a specific answer. My guess is that you're taking metformin (after the meal) and nateglinide or repaglinide half an hour before the meal. All these pills can be taken together. Taking nateglinide or repaglinide 30 minutes before meals helps to maximize their efficacy in reducing post-prandial glucose. Metformin timing is not so crucial. It can be taken just before the meal or right after it, it won't make any difference.
