my name is Carolyn and I need to know what is leukocytes. I am showing positive with it in the purple or lavender color on the urinary tract infection test. and negative on the nitrite side. do have something bad wrong with me my back is been hurting for over a month now. Is this something I need antibiotics for do I need to see a doctor and also my fingers in the joints are swollen and I cant open them back up they like lock down on me. please tell me what I need to do,.

First i want to tell you that leukocytes in urine are suggestive of infection. it requires antibiotics. And if you are also having back pain than it is a must. i would recommend you to drink plenty of fluid, fruit juice, and syrup cital.
