Do I Need Any Other Medications For Thyroid?

I am 83 years young...........I take thyroid medication for years........I had my right side thyroid removed over 20 years ago due to a tumor. I have lost my hair and wear wigs. my eyebrows are very thin ......I am active, exercise but should I be on any other meds. I see my Dr every 6 months and he has never suggested any medication. He runs blood test once every 6-12 months.........Thank You Thank You but I have an Dr apt this week and will discuss it with my Dr.......

Good day,
There is no need of any other drug except Levothyroxine. But at your age, you surely need to be on calcium and Vitamin D replacement. You may also consider starting on selenium which is good for Thyroid . A diet with good iodine content is also important. If you eat sea food once or twice a week and if you are taking iodized salt, that should give you sufficient iodine in diet.
