Do I Need A Surgery If I Have Pain Due To Diverticulitis?

I have been diagnosed w/diverticulitis just 1 1/2 Weeks ago and have on liquids. Yesterday I started shredded chicken and rice. I woke up this am have some pain.i am wondering if I am going to have to have surgery? I am autoimmune compromised w/ RA. This also is my first bout w/ diverticulitis. Help!

I really appreciate your concern, diverticulitis can be managed medically or some time just conservative line of treatment would be enough for it, in short it is all depends upon the clinical symptoms patient has, in sever case surgery is the option hope this information helps.
