Do Flu Syrups Cause Chest Congestion?

I have triplets who are 6month 3weeks old. They have flu. I gave them piritex syrup and therafter zyncef syrup. There is a change in tow of them but the third now has a congested chest. There is a wizzing sound while sleeping. What should i do? - Adrian

Hi thanks for contacting HCM.

Noted 3 child having flu...
Two get relief by decongestent syrup.

Third one getting worse by wheezing also.
His respiratory examination done by auscultation..
Respiratory rate counted...If it increased then chance of infection...

Here that child have bronchial constriction so wheezing can occur...
His lower respiratory tract might affected by RSV like virus...So bronchitis or bronchiolitis can be there...
If needed nebulization might given...

Consult pediatrician for proper examination and treatment.
