Dizziness, Cloudy Ear, Headache, Vomiting

had a dizzy spell one night ..So dizzzy I became so sick..My doctor said my right ear was was cloudy. She prescribed me a z pac and musinex D. I have a headache on the right side of my head from the temple to the back of the neck ... sometimes I feel a dizzy spell coming on, but thankfully it goes away.. I have finished the z pac now but the headache is still there. I am so worried,,I went to bootcamp and tried to run a mile. I became so dizzy, I had to stop and laydown on the concrete. My world was spinning so fast I regurgitated, I was so embarrased. I have never felt this way..My head feels like there is a pressure on the right side, like the fluctuations one feels when driving over hills and your ears pop..ugh please help? Y

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding dizziness, cloudy ear, headache and vomiting.

Your all above symptoms are indicating that you are suffering from rhinosinusitis with eustachian tube dysfunction leading to blocked ear and possibly labyrinthitis. Most of the time it is viral infection but some times it is bacterial or mixed infection.

Here I would like to suggest you these basic investigations which are helpful in deciding diagnosis.-

1- C.T. Scan of paranasal sinuses.

2- Culture and sensitivity of throat swab.

3- Gram's staining of throat swab.

4- ENG and Audiometry.

Beside this physical examination by ENT doctor is necessary for clinical co-relation of investigations for making diagnosis.

Till above formalities are going on you may take-

1- Steam inhalation.

2- Anti histaminics.

3- Cinnarzine or betahistine.

4- Mucolytic.

probably above will help you.

Regards.
