It is understandable that you are feeling confused, and that is adding to your nervousness. The symptoms that you have described can very well be due to anxiety, but what is causing the anxiety is not very clear. I would like you to know that heavy intake of tobacco/alcohol or other substances may be followed by anxiety, which is a common withdrawal symptom. In addition, these substances can also produce long-lasting changes in the brain, ultimately resulting in an anxiety disorder. In your case, the best option, in my opinion, would be that you quit alcohol, at least cut down on smoking and see whether your health improves over time. If around a month later, you still have the same symptoms, then you should consider starting some medication for anxiety.

I hope you find this of help. Best wishes.
