Diarrhea Problem Since Long Time. On Fiber Pills, Gummies, Probiotics. Help

I've had diarrhea problems for close to a year now....my Lupus Dr. thinks it's stress, and my PCP says I should see a gastroenterologist. My husband, an orthopaedic surgery 4th yr resident says I don't need to see a gastro Dr. I've been using fiber pills, gummies, and probiotics. It's not with any particular food....it's with all food

Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM).

There are many causes of diarrhoea in Lupus like malabsorption syndrome, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth or may be due to vasculitis or may side effects of drugs which have to be evaluated. So I will advise to visit a Gastroenterologist for evaluation

I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. Remain in touch and get-well soon.
