Diagnosed With Torticollis. Not Able To Find The Trigger. Taking Herbs For Hormonal Imbalance. Could That Be The Reason?

I am 50 and have been diagnosed with torticollis 2 years ago.. It appears that it gets worse when I eat certain foods, hot flashes, and stress... My labs do not indicate any other issues and MRI negative, and I do not take any medications because I have been trying to be aware of the triggers and do not want to risk being dependent as well as side effects. I have been taking many different herbs for hormonal imbalance feelings prior to diagnosis despite normal FSH and thyroid.. Can this experimenting have caused this neuro issue?? What can I do to help myself and which foods should I avoid as they trigger a dopamine reaction??

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The hormonal imbalance is not likely to cause torticollis. It is most commonly caused by a neck muscle spasm. You can get some oral muscle relaxants prescribed and see if it improves.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
