Diagnosed With Presbylarynges. Dry Cough When Talking. Allergy?

My ENT doc diagnosed me with presbylarynges recently when my voice seemed to sound not as strong as it normally is. Also I developed a slight dry hacking kind of cough now and then when I was talking. I was sent to a voice therapist who said that I do have a strong type of voice and that I just was very dry. So I was told to drink more water and to also breathe in some hot steam every day. After a week of this, I am much better but still a little dry. However, since this started about mid-summer, I m wondering if I simply have an allergy since I m sneezing more often.
