I was just diagnosed with having H Pylori. I am suppose to have gastric bypass done. It was put on hold until 6 weeks of antibiotics. The doctor said then I would be good to go.I have heard of people dieing after surgery because the bacteria was not taken care of with antibiotic and the body would not heal after surgery. I am uncertain about surgery now.
