Hi,
Wel come to HCM
Your father is uncontrolled diabetes if he is recently diagnosed with high blood sugar,Continue with antidiabetic like metformin and follow diabetic diet,if blood sugar is too high he can be started insulin under supervision of Physician to control diabetes.
AS he is diabetic he has chances of UTI so please get a urine examination and it is possible that he is having SEP enlargement of Prostate gland. If infection is there antibiotics will help to clear infection.
In diet he can add bitter gord, fenugreek, avoid refind sugars and if possible he should take a walk daily
Take plenty of water
Once bllodd sugar is under control he can be operated for Cataract.
Take care
Good luck.
