Developed Red Rash After A Cortisone Shot To The Hip For Possible Bursitis, In Pain. Symptoms Indicative Of A Cortisone Flare?
24 hours after a cortisone shot to the hip for possible bursitis , I developed a red rash , close to injection site that was slightly painful and warm to touch. It disappeared after 48 hours. 72 hours post treatment, I am experiencing intermittent, elevated pain radiating from that area. Are these symptoms indicative of a cortisone flare? Can elevated pain (from a flare) begin three days after the treatment? Thank you.
there are many patients who are allergic to cortisone allergy can start from immediate xposure to 72 hours you need to consult allergy doctor who can find if you have allergy to cortisone meanwhile use antiallergic tab and anti allergic local ointments
