hi dr..my sister z 17 years old. .my sister problem z tht her periods are late almost 12 days....once she had history of 10 days late periods...pls ans me...she has a lot of tention of her o level exam and recently she had measals .....pls guide....my mail address z YYYY@YYYY . pls ans

Your sister is 17 years old and I will answer with an assumption that there is no chance of pregnancy.
Irregular and heavy bleeding is common in adolescent age group because their cycles are anovulatory. In addition, your sister is having physical and mental stress which can also lead to irregular cycles. In my opinion, you should wait for at least 2 more weeks before starting any hormonal treatment for periods.
