Delayed Periods By 5 Days. Could I Be Pregnant?

I am late for my period, 5 days now. From a previous pregnancy I have learned that the uterus closes and goes higher into the vagina. Like you need to stick your finger in at least 2 inches to find your uterus. My uterus is still low and open but not as open as it would normally be when my period is about to arrive. I internally check myself often so I know how it feels. could I be pregnant?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The position of the cervix does not matter but if the feel of the cervix is soft rather than the firm one, then a pregnancy is likely. But it needs to be confirmed after a urine test.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
