Dark Colored Blisters And White On Left Tonsil, Pain While Swallowing, No Fever Or Cough. History Of Oral Sex Without Ejaculation. Std?
I performed oral sex on a male a couple days ago. It lasted only a few minutes and no ejaculation occured. I now have 2 darker colored blisters on my left tonsil , pain when swallowing and white pus surrounding the tonsil..no fever no cough, no other symptoms. what are the chances of me contracting an oral std and if not an std what could also be a possibility?
Hey there Arabian. At the outset, you have what seems like a follicular tonsillar infection. This may or may not have been an STD..if it arose from/after oral sex as per your history, then technically, it could be classified as an STD. But in reality, please do some warm salt or betadine gargles, take a course of an appropriate antibiotic..amy i suggest Azithromycin 500mg once/daily or divied doses for 3 days & an anti-inflammatory agent like Brufen 600mg three times daily after food & plenty of oral fluids (hydration) & you should be symptom free in 48 hrs max. The chances of contracting something like HIV are remote with the exposure you have especially if the mucus membranes were not compromised & there was no admixture of blood or blood products. it would be prudent to assess the STD history of the recepient of the oral sex if possible that will give you a clearer picture. Hope this was helpful & wish you good health! Please do practice safe sex in the future. Cheers!
