Dabbing And Squeezing Pain In Chest, Pains In Rib Cage. All Reports Normal. Suggested Musculoskeletal Pain. History Of Compression In C2-C6 Vertebrae With Pain In Neck ,shoulder Etc. Advice

Sir,
I am a great fan of yours. 6 months back my father passed away due to a massive heart attack. Thereafter i always feel uncomfortable symptoms in my heart. At times my chest has a dabbing & sqeezing pain as if my muscles are contarcting within. I went to diagnostic center and thereafter to 2 renowned hospitals from where i got my heart checked up: blood test, ecg, tmt, echo, x ray etc. Everything is normal and the doctors suggested muscuskeletal pain. I have CS (severe compression in the C2-C6 vertebrae) and i get pain in my neck, forearms, shoulder blades, back pain etc. All this makes me extremely uncomfortable and i feel heaviness in my chest with some pains in my rib cage, at the centre of my chest etc. I do regular free hand exercise, dont smoke. What can be this doctor???

Hello Abhijeet,

Chest pain can be caused by various reasons, including minor problem such as indigestion or stress, to serious medical emergencies such as a heart attack.

Other causes of chest pain include:
1. Strained chest muscles due to overuse
2. Chest muscle injury
3. Short-term, sudden anxiety with rapid breathing
4. Peptic ulcer disease
5. Pain from the digestive tract, such as esophageal reflux

Since all your investigations are within normal limits, the pain can be attributed to be musculo-skeletal in origin.

So, there is no need to worry.
And please do not get concerned with the possibility of having any cardiovascular pathology.
Have a healthy balanced diet, exercise regularly & stay away from stress.

Wishing you a Good Health. Let me know if I need to clarify further.

Thanks & take care.
