Could The Scars From Many Operations Lead To Cancer?

Hi Dr, Manjunath, I went through caesarean twice. the second one just a month ago together with Tuberligation. Some of my friends are telling me many operations can form scars that can lead to cancer and I am really depressed. can that be possible or true?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Usually, cut given in this operation is on the previous one so there is not much of a scar. With repeated incisions, there is scar weakening and a chance, very less chance of cancer. You should not be scared.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Richa Agarwal, OBGYN
